15 BEST LUXURY HOTEL & RESORT IN BALI - This list of Best Luxury Hotels & Resorts in Bali, I made is based on my personal opinions and experiences, it wasn't about the name, or about the price but about the feeling, how much welcomed I was on their property, the quality of services, hospitality, uniqueness, quality of sleep, quality of foods, the feeling when I woke up in the morning, & how enjoyable and memorable my stay was.

And as you know that there are a couple of new properties that always open every single year. How can I choose the best hotel or resort for my memorable stay in Bali? I visit Bali every year to give you some updated insight, of course not only new gems but also the old player, to see how their quality meets my expectation as a guest so the list will be the ultimate list that will be updated every year, based on my opinions. • 1. BEST LUXURY HOTEL & RESORT IN KUTA - The Anvaya

The next stop is Kuta, a well-known area not only because the area is fast and is the closest to Ngurah Rai International Airport, but also so many attractions here from the bar, waterpark, beach, shopping mall, and local market, to other words unlike the other area in Bali, Kuta always gives you Bali life that all about the party, drinks, full energy, and international even local crowds love to spend their day here because you can find anything here in Kuta. 

I was trying to look for hidden gems in Kuta, I mean something more elegance, and luxurious, but it was kinda hard because I think Kuta is always packed, and too mainstream, but then there's The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali, something that I am not expected here's in Kuta (or South Kuta/Tuban to be exact), it's definitely not a hidden gem, but the brightest gem in the area because everything is so polished compared to any other accommodation the area, yes because it's 1 year old now (per 2017), yes because they're improved everything and I loved it. SEMINYAK - The Legian

I have no doubts when I enter the gate of The Legian Bali, that the oldies but goodies vibes were so strong. With huge pillars, classic architecture, and elegant interior design, my memory brought me back to my first luxurious getaway at the most luxurious resort in Java. One thing they have in common is not the name, or expensive rates but the feeling. Simple welcome drink that energizes me, although I was not really tired that day, the Indonesian national flower of Jasmine in the refreshing towel was telling me that my days at the resort will be awesome.

I stayed in a studio suite on the 3rd floor that faced the ocean (I mean it was such a good room to feel the beachfront vibes all day all night). Luxury at The Legian Bali is a definition of classic, experience, atmosphere, exclusivity, and excellent value that is maintained in the location that so growing and crowded like Seminyak. It was probably my best stay experience during my recent trip to Bali earlier this year. I never thought that I got it at Jimbaran, since I didn't put Jimbaran in the first place in my itinerary, but then Club InterContinental Bali Resort changed the whole my Jimbaran expectation, I can't fully thank you enough, I really had a fun, and memorable stay at this resort, And as a Club guest, it has been more perfect. Soon, I will tell you why?

I heard about Karma Kandara 3 years ago, from my beloved friend after she broke up with her boyfriend and come to Bali for the sake of move-on, so did I, because I broke up with my beloved MF who had a relationship with me for almost 4 years lol, just kidding, I have always been wanted to go to Karma, people always said to me that I should at least visit Karma Kandara when I'm in Bali.

I have been staying at Nusa Dua, Seminyak like I always did if I came to Bali, and I was thinking to stay in the other part of Bali, and it led me to Ungasan. Nothing in my mind but the infamous and exotic Karma Beach Club, the infinity pool of Karma Kandara, the high cliff of Karma Spa, and the breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean that you can see also from Temple Lounge & Bar. NUSA DUA - The Mulia Resort & Villas

I got so excited to visit The Mulia Bali Resort & Villas, why? I remember back in 2012 I went to Nusa Dua, I have been visited a private estate of the owner of Gc Watches to do some interviews, I passed the huge resort development and it was The Mulia Bali and 6 years later, I stayed at this huge gorgeous hotel, resort, & villas complex in Nusa Dua and stunned with the beauties. I do some research because when I googled the logo of its resort; there's The Mulia Resort & Villas and The Mulia Bali. At first, I thought it was the same, but like I said earlier this complex of hotels and resorts is Huge, of course, both different names mean something, in fact, yes they're different.

My impression of this huge complex of hotels & resorts was beyond, no wonder people choose The Mulia Bali Resort & Villas to enjoy the holidays with big families and celebrate a wedding, even though they have massive artificial lakes, the kids club that is bigger than the main pool in Kuta and dipping on a different pool every single day with excellent cleanliness and maintenance.   Overall, for me, Fairmont is a luxury brand that captures the essence of a classic luxury stay that provides you with maximum privacy. Lucky me, I have got my room upgraded to Spa Signature Room for my 3-day stay there. At first, I thought it will be too much to have your own space Spa in your room, but then I put myself in others' shoes, this is for the sake of maximum service and privacy. To see your own spa room, make me wonder, is the Spa as good as it is? And the fact is true, for me, The Spa at Fairmont Sanur is the best Spa treatment I have ever experienced in 2018 - and for the record, our President, Mr. Joko Widodo has stayed here several times (I believe in the presidential suite or private villa), so I am sure that Fairmont Sanur, it can be included as the best hotel in Bali for Sanur area as per 2018.

UBUD - Alaya Hotels (Ubud, it deserves to be on a separate own list | Best Luxury Hotel & Resort in Ubud SOON)

No doubt that Alaya Hotel Ubud became one of the internet's favorite hotels in Ubud, because I can say; is great food, a great location, great hospitality and I have enjoyed my stay here totally, and no doubt again, there is a chance you will not get the room booked if you think too much.

A Great Hospitality - I felt very welcomed every time I visit Alaya or Petani, thank you so much :) and they also have a mission to help those in need with all their program, totally worth being involved by staying here 1 for 2 nights when you are in Ubud. Alaya Ubud is quite a well-known hotel in Ubud and those positive reviews are indeed true, at least for myself, and proved every time I step on my feet here.  (Kinda need an update, because I have stayed here when the property was under Alila's management, and now they become Soori Bali)

Design Savvy, Leisure Seeker, Culture Hunter, Nature Lover, you named it your intention and at Soori Bali you can fulfill everything you seek from design, leisure, culture, and nature. Nothing much to say, because I think Tabanan kinda dying in terms of Bali tourism, even the best property such as Pan Pacific closed its door (but I think it's for big maintenance, people still love it because of its Gold courses), but people tend to stay in Canggu that obvious close with Seminyak, the only touristy spot in Tabanan is only Tanah Lot, but if you want to feel the privacy and just stay away from the hustle-bustle, I think this villa can be your choice. More personal review Alluring Stay at Alila Villa Soori

IN WEST BALI - Menjangan Dynasty Beach Camp

This eco-friendly resort is much inspired by luxury African safari tent, you can get the ambiance when the staff at the reception greeted you, with a safari uniform and massive bamboo structures all over the resort; Lobby, restaurant, spa, and its own dive center, brought to you by Bali Hai Diving Academy with all the water fun and even adventure to Ijen Carter they have provided.

For me personally, it was a great destination to escape from the bustling part of Bali, it wasn't really "Bali", it was completely different, but you don't have to pay for extra airfare to feel the experience. I can't compare it with any other places because it's unique, you can explore the underwater by snorkeling or diving, have fun by canoeing or playing with the paddleboard if you got extra time you can explore our West Bali National Park, and mangrove. But, if you fancy enjoying the resort, you can swim at their Infinity Pool with a view, enjoy the teatime at  Pasir Putih Beach Club & Bar while sunbathing, or even try their beachfront Pasir Putih Spa by Ambiente. More personal review Escape to Menjangan Dynasty Resort in West Bali
