We decided to have 2,5 hour's car ride from Nusa Dua to Tabanan because we heard too many stories about how beautiful the West Coast was with its black pearly sand beach and the old preserving nature and culture, and we up to the conclusion that the best place to stay might be Alila Villa Soori. Although we only had a 1-night stay chance, it gave us some memories worth sharing.

I arrived that afternoon, feeling amazing with their spacious lobby and some staff greeting our welcome at the resort. I love the first impression and can’t wait to have a tour. But unfortunately, we didn’t, the sunset stole our attention, and decided to have this precious moment at Soori’s main pool. While some staffs set the table for movie night, we three had our time at the main pool, one of my friends then said: “It is the best sunset ever, compared with one at Potato Head, this is the best!”

I remember that my response was quiet, it was indeed beautiful, with fewer people around you, you’re in the state between wanting to stop time and wanting to make it faster, but we were there until the sunset and gone, fires were up, the night was pretty creepy but the stillness, I love the stillness, those black sand was getting darker and darker, and I felt a little hunger, I was curious what’s for dinner.

I ordered Grilled Mahi-Mahi, it was because I believe I have heard the menu before in one movie and me just curious to taste it, it wasn’t bad, and even has a very interesting texture, I believe the experience will totally different with a glass of red wine, instead of berry tea lol. But fish for dinner is always good for me, it is always not too much (not really it was once too much when I stayed in Magelang and had a plate of grilled Salmon). But that’s all, after the last spoon of lava cake and ice cream; we were back at our villa, I have no idea what made us tired, but the morning, I love the morning.

MORNING

Member of Design Hotels becoming an icon of Luxury in Tabanan regency is indeed a very contrast with traditional Balinese atmosphere, simplicity in complexity. The minimalist design of almost in Alila properties makes them interesting and unique, the complexity of beautiful nature and culture are the reasons for the property's existence. Checked into one bedroom beach pool villa, with a double bed and one extra bed, I thanked God enough to wake up and see the beach when I opened the pool door, exposed to very nice sunlight, and take a happy breath as much as I can (while taking a bunch of pictures of course). With amenities made special for Alila, brought to you by Sensatia Botanicals, I loved every scent of it, so took them all home :)

The beach is not a private area, so you maybe will meet a local, tourist, or fisherman. Only a couple of minutes, then we’re back to Villa, get breakfast, and be ready for Journeys by Alila to Explore Kerambitan.
