WHAT'S NEW IN SYDNEY - MARCH EDITION | Find your favourite flavour in Sydney! With exciting new openings across the harbour city, there's always a new tipple to try, memorable dining experiences to indulge in, and eye-opening art exhibits to explore. Here's our round up for this month's edition of What's New in Sydney.
A new hub for the arts
Sydney's newest arts precinct, Pier 2/3, opens its doors in March after two years in the making. The final piece in the revitalisation of Sydney's Walsh Bay Precinct, it will become the home of Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Theatre for Young People and Bell Shakespeare.
Aperitif anyone?
Bar Mammoni joins Italian siblings Lana, all-day diner Grana and cocktail bar Apollonia in the laneways of Circular Quay. Pop into this pint-sized newcomer for espresso in the morning and a pre-dinner drink in the evening.
Gourmet at QT
Sydney's power-lunch favourite Gowings is reopening with a new feel and flavour. QT's signature restaurant's next chapter is edged in nostalgia, under the creative direction of Sean Connolly. Inspired by New York's Little Italy and steakhouse scene, there will be modern food with flair, old-fashioned service with pizzazz and a whole new era of dining.
Use your noodle
After a two-year hiatus, Sydney Night Noodle Market is back on 22-27 March in a new location, Prince Alfred Park next to Central Station. The sprawling green space will transform into an Asian street food market with noodles to slurp and dumplings to dip, showcasing May's Malaysian Hawker, Fishbowl, Hoy Pinoy and more. Register here for a free ticket to this family- and dog-friendly event.
Duck Duck Goose
For dumpling fans there's a new place to devour these juicy parcels in Penrith. Duck Duck Goose is a fun-loving dumpling bar with neon lighting, colourful cocktails and DJs until late. On the menu you'll find an extensive dumpling, bao and drinks selection, along with a bottle service option in private booths.
Out-of-the-box brunch
Insta-famous Blackwood Pantry in Cronulla is set to open another outpost this month on Bondi Beach. Blackwood Bondi will focus on colourful, out-of-the-box brunch dishes, with plenty of photogenic nourish bowls, hotcakes and more. There will also be weekend aperitivo and a live music program on Sundays.
