TOP IDEAS FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE VACATION - 2020 has not been a good year for travel enthusiasts. As travel restrictions start to lift and resorts and others in the industry find ways to offer safe vacations, travel is starting to open up again for 2021. If you’ve missed out on your usual trips this year, then you might want to make up for it with an unforgettable vacation in 2021. But where should you do it?

Book An Experience Vacation

Instead of just booking your usual trip, and going sightseeing or laying out by the pool, book a vacation-themed around experience.

For example, if you’re active, you might enjoy a cycling trip. If you think of yourself as a high-roller, look at ‘5 Great Destinations for Gambling’ and book a casino trip. If you’re a yogi, a wellness retreat might be more up your street. There are also lots of trips where you can learn something, like immersive language courses, cooking courses, and other residential learning opportunities abroad.

Tick Something Off Your Bucket List

Most travel-enthusiasts have a travel bucket list. Isn’t it time to tick something off yours? If you haven’t been on any trips this year, you probably have more budget available for a vacation than you normally do, so you might be able to afford a trip that you’ve always dreamed of.

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of seeing the Aurora Borealis, driving Route 66, or visiting the Pyramids. Speak to a travel agent and see what you might be able to afford from your bucket list. Ticking off something you’ve always wanted to do will certainly be unforgettable.

Volunteer

This year has shifted priorities for a lot of people, so maybe the idea of a frivolous vacation doesn’t appeal to you anymore. Perhaps you’d rather use your vacation time to give something back. Instead of going on a traditional trip, go abroad to volunteer.

Travel with a purpose by going on a service trip. Choose a cause that you care about, such as teaching English abroad, building a well, or helping with disaster relief, and find a destination where this help is needed. A service trip doesn’t have to be all work. Give your time during the day, and save your evenings for sightseeing in the place you’re volunteering. Encourage some friends to come with you, and you can have an unforgettable experience, learn about a new culture, and give something back to others.

Take A Food Tour

Is your favourite part of travel getting to try new foods and experience the local cuisine? Why not plan your whole trip around food? There are lots of destinations around the world known for their food. Do some research and see where you might like to visit to eat, such as pintxos in San Sebastian, wine tasting in Argentina, or pizza in Rome.

When you get there, book a food tour, so you can find some of the best places to eat, and learn about the local delicacies. Food is a great way to experience somewhere new.
