WELCOME TO MALANG

My trip to Malang was quite slow but and so fast in the same time. Slow because it took more than 18 hours by train, and fast because the time I had it was only for Malang, Batu and Bromo, but since everything about the experiences and my things are only for Bromo and Bakso Malang, so I think it's all wrapped and thanked God so much.

KOTA TUA STATION MALANG

This was my second time using train, but definitely this is my FIRST time I had sacrificed my butt to cried and depressed for over 18 hours without any help. It was a chaotic moment when I entered Senen station at 13.00 pm, not because I hate lower-middle class situation, I am upper-wanna be middle class myself in the third world, but stupid me I was carrying  my Coach and the bag was not suitable for this kind of trip at all in this country. But when I took on Economic challenge, I know the possible risks that will happen to me sooner or later, such as boredom, untidiness, disruption, discomfort, annoyance every single hour from people who yelling "Kopi jahe, kopi jahe, pecel, es teh es teh, nasi goreng, nasi ayam, nasi rames, teh panas, pop mie, jahe kopi" and everything, and it was happening almost every hour in every transit stations. 18 hours absolutely time consuming, but in the name of experience and less money spent, the train called Matarmaja managed to bring me to lovely the city of students ;p - Kota Pelajar, Malang, East Java.

But one thing I see and get for this like endless train trip in my rail coach during the journey is we need to see this kind of life for quite some time, to see how people survive for their life, for their family life, once I saw this old lady selling and offering food in the midnight and still smiling to everyone, just unbelievable. For me it keep me grounded, more grateful and patient, it's ok to postponed to get a new bag, it's ok to live my life like this, because the way she did all the things by offering the food at midnight in the train, it could be so hard for some people. So yaaa, 18 hours in the train and felt so grateful, although it was too hard to fall asleep because you know the situations was, but after all of those things, Malang is await.

It was 8.00 am at Kota Tua station in Malang my butt stopped to cry, someone from Eagle Travel was already waiting for my arrival, yes we are all need a city car. Then I arrived at the Hotel that I love so much, Merbabu Guest House in Malang, with very chic room and great deal in rate, loved it. My first Malang impression was, this is like my hometown, this is looks like Bandung a lot, I was amazed with the atmosphere, very clean city, a lots of shade trees. I remember that I was mumbling all the time, " Oww this is Cipaganti, this is Merdeka" and all the name of the streets in Bandung that I can relate to the streets in Malang.

Then I went to Flamboyan Resto for breakfast, and after that heading to Toko Oen for some slaps of 3 scopes of legendary ice cream. Then I chose to go to Batu, Jaktim Park II, well it was kinda insignificant for me, you know like watching the animals? in a very weird way I think you need to go to this zoo, insignificant but well, I saw a Zebra, Hippo and Giraffe and that's pretty cool for me you know, but I enjoyed the rest of the day in Batu till 08.00 pm then go back to Hotel after everything zoo in Batu. Sooooo that's all for that day, I need to get ready, because at 12.00 pm, the Bromo journey will begin.... [To be continued...]

iya gue juga kecewa kalau bepergian naik kereta... apalagi kalo yang jauh-jauh. selain sangat lama, kadang servisnya kurang (kayak toiletnya kotor, trus pendinginnya rusak, and so on). however looks like you have experienced an unforgettable holiday!
