Paris, February 10, 2026 - Nestled within a townhouse adjoining the studio’s creative offices, La Galerie Andrée Putman finds its home in a former school, sensitively rehabilitated in the 1970s by gallerists close to Andrée Putman. Conceived as an intimate setting rather than a showroom in the traditional sense, the space offers an immersion into the curated and timeless universe of Andrée Putman.

Located at 9 bis avenue de Saxe in Paris’s 7th arrondissement, this discreet address stands as a manifesto of the subtle luxury that defines the Putman style. Imagined as a house to be lived in, La Galerie is made of two generous reception rooms, filled with natural light, opening onto a landscaped garden, where reissues of the Elephant bench, originally designed for the CAPC, command their place. The 1930s architecture, defined by the height and restrained lines dear to Andrée Putman, gives full expression to the works on view. The scenography creates a dialogue between re-editions and the studio’s historic archives and signature codes, allowing past and present to coexist with clarity and ease.

Re-editions, collaborations, and exclusive archives

La Galerie presents a curated selection of approximately thirty re-edited pieces drawn from Andrée Putman’s emblematic designs, chosen for their character and history. Produced in France through exceptional artisanal savoir-faire, this collection marks the reopening of the studio’s furniture chapter, conceived as a first sequence to be extended by new collections each year. Developed using contemporary and durable materials, the reissues include the Trois Carats and Éclipse tables, the Jeune Bûcheron coffee table, the Croqueuse de Diamants, À Bras Ouverts, and Sur un Nuage chairs, the Petite Ourse armchair and Grande Ourse sofa, the Midi Suspendu daybed, the Confidence desk, the Luminator and Compas dans l’Oeil floor lamps, and the Voie Lactée rug, among others.

The space also introduces new editions, including the Constellation Au Carré rug and the Quatre Feuilles table in a collector’s version. These pieces extend Andrée Putman’s legacy by reinterpreting, with a renewed perspective, the codes and signatures developed through her architectural projects. Over time, additional edited pieces will continue to enrich this ensemble.

A continuous dialogue with leading houses.

La Galerie also pays tribute to the landmark collaborations initiated by Andrée Putman with major Houses whose resonance remains strong today. The installation features the Vertigo collections for Christofle alongside the Orgue crystal chandelier for Lalique. The bathroom, clad in black-and-white tiles, recalls the spirit of the Morgans Hotel, down to its chromed steel fittings and the “O” faucet by THG, inspired by the iconic twisted ring designed for Christofle.

In the main room, an extensive library brings together monographs published by Assouline and Rizzoli, the studio’s self-published titles, including À-propos by Noé Leyronas Putman, Andrée Putman’s grandson, as well as a section dedicated to the Concorde and its legendary onboard service,  documented through reference works. The studio’s recent projects are also presented, including the commemorative stamp issued by La Poste in late 2025, the Chemin Faisant by Andrée Putman lavallière for Louis Vuitton, Hommage à Ferrari published by the Fondation Cartier, and the Voie Lactée passport holder created for private jet company Jetfly.

Anthology archives

Extending Andrée Putman’s legacy, La Galerie also showcases archival pieces from the studio’s collaborations, including the Lucky Set porcelain for Gaia & Gino (2005), the Nespresso Ritual service (2010), the Pearls bottle for Chivas (2007), the Veuve Clicquot box (2006), a special edition created for Montblanc in support of UNICEF (2004), the Préparation Parfumée Andrée Putman flacons (2001), L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci reinterpreted by Olivia Putman (2013), Lamy (2001) and RAC (2009) eyewear, the Swarovski chandelier (1994), and the Polka porcelain service for Gien (2004).

This artistic corpus is enriched by iconographic works, including a manuscript by Keith Haring, historic sketches from the studio, photographic plates by Andy Warhol and Andrée Putman, and portraits by Alice Springs and Serge Lutens. The space is often animated by the screening of the documentary Andrée Putman, la grande dame du design, directed by Saléha Gherdane for Arte in 2023.

Gallery and design studio

Accessible by appointment only, La Galerie is conceived as a privileged environment in which to present collections in context and accompany both prescribers and private clients in their projects. The adjoining design studio operates as both an interior architecture agency and a design office, developing projects in hospitality, workplaces, and private residences, while also designing objects in collaboration with brands. Together, La Galerie and Le Studio offer a first, tangible introduction to the renewed agency’s work, bringing its furniture design and interior architecture works into a single, coherent narrative.
