INDIA ART FAIR ANNOUNCES EXHIBITORS FOR ITS 2026 EDITION

 

India Art Fair announces record number of exhibitors, an expanded footprint, and strong global and regional collaborations for 17th edition

India Art Fair, the definitive destination for discovering South Asian modern and contemporary art, returns for a landmark 17th edition at the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi from 5 to 8 February 2026. 

Led in partnership with BMW India, the fair brings together a record number of 123 exhibitors, including 87 distinguished galleries and 24 major art institutions. India Art Fair's celebrated design section returns with renewed ambition, spotlighting 12 eminent design studios and 2 design galleries. The exceptional line-up for the 2026 edition reaffirms India Art Fair as an unmissable fixture in the region's cultural calendar each February.

The 17th edition of India Art Fair in New Delhi follows the launch of IAF EDI+IONS, a transformative new addition to the year-round programme that extends the fair’s cultural impact across the subcontinent. The inaugural IAF EDI+IONS Hyderabad launches this weekend 1-2 November 2025, marking a new chapter for India Art Fair, as it builds presence in one of India’s most dynamic cities and reinforces its role as the preeminent platform for artistic dialogue throughout South Asia and beyond.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Alongside these are modern presentations, including DAG (New Delhi / Mumbai / New York), Crayon Art Gallery, Dhoomimal Gallery, Chawla Art Gallery and Kumar Gallery (all New Delhi), and Ashvita’s (Chennai). India Art Fair also welcomes three new Indian participants: Cultivate Art, Lakeeren Contemporary, and Subcontinent (all Mumbai).

Reaffirming its place as the nexus for the global art world in South Asia, the fair features leading international galleries including returning participants David Zwirner, Galleria Continua, neugerriemschneider, Carpenters Workshop Gallery, 1x1 Art Gallery, Aicon, Aicon Contemporary, Saskia Fernando Gallery, and Grosvenor Gallery. The fair also welcomes seven new international exhibitors: Whitestone Gallery, Rajiv Menon Contemporary, DMINTI, 193 Gallery, LAMB, Gowen Contemporary and Danfe Arts. 

This year’s Focus section presents a series of compelling solo artist showcases, each exploring the diverse vocabularies of contemporary art in South Asia and beyond. The line-up includes Bharti Kher, Jayasri Burman, Shailesh B.R., Ravinder Reddy, Girjesh Kumar Singh, Thandiwe Muriu, and Khadim Ali. Together, these focused presentations highlight the breadth and depth of artistic expression defining South Asia’s place in the global contemporary art dialogue today.

Returning for a third year, the Design section presents an expanded showcase of leading and emerging design practices redefining the language of contemporary design in India. This year’s presentation brings together returning studios Ashiesh Shah, Aspura, Chanakya School of Craft, DeMuro Das, Gunjan Gupta, Rooshad Shroff, Studio Renn, Vikram Goyal with Galerie Maria Wettengren, Kunal Maniar, Karkhana, Morii Designs, and SHED participating at the fair for the first time. The section also features a special institutional collaboration between the French Institute’s residency programme and the Mumbai-based design gallery Æquō.

For the 2026 edition, the Institutions section has been newly designed to sit adjacent to the three main halls, bringing exclusive attention to the leading museums, foundations, and cultural organisations from India and across the world at the fair. Leading Indian institutions presenting at the fair include the Museum of Art & Photography (Bengaluru), Sabyasachi Art Foundation (Kolkata), MASH, Serendipity Arts Foundation, The Gujral Foundation (all New Delhi) and Birla Academy of Art & Culture (Kolkata). International participants include the AMA Artist Award, the Australian High Commission (New Delhi), Korean Cultural Centre India (New Delhi), Britto Arts Trust (Dhaka), and The Arts Family (London).

The Platform section continues to spotlight South Asia’s living artistic traditions and craft-based practices, bringing together artists and collectives reinterpreting inherited practices with contemporary language. Each presentation underscores the resilience and creative evolution of regional craft traditions. 

Marking ten years of creative partnership between India Art Fair and BMW India, and five years of The Future is Born of Art Commission, the 2026 edition introduces the new theme Crafting in Continuum.

India Art Fair 2026 will feature major outdoor projects and collaborations, including new site-specific works by artist Kulpreet Singh, commissioned and presented by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, and Judy Chicago’s project What If Women Ruled the World? Participatory Quilt, presented by DMINTI. 

India Art Fair is also proud to continue its collaboration with The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) as the official Learning Partner, supporting all of the fair’s inclusivity and education programmes.
