L’APOGÉE COURCHEVEL CELEBRATES 10 YEARS A DECADE AT THE HEIGHT OF ALPINE GLAMOUR

L’APOGÉE COURCHEVEL CELEBRATES 10 YEARS A DECADE AT THE HEIGHT OF ALPINE GLAMOUR - Oetker Collection’s property in Courchevel reopens on December 15, 2023, for its milestone 10th season.

When L’Apogée Courchevel was erected in 2013, the hotel was destined to become an icon and the most elegant property in the fabled French ski resort. Built on the village’s highest and most illustrious peak, Courchevel 1850, the Oetker Collection Masterpiece Hotel inhabits the former site of an Olympic ski jump installed in the 1960s by famed champion Alpine skier and Courchevel legend Emile Allais.

Today, to preserve the memory of this great man, whose contributions to Alpine skiing include the early adoption of snow grooming and the invention of piste rescue patrollers to ensure safety on the slopes, the road to L’Apogée Courchevel is named rue Emile Allais in a permanent reminder of the vision that shaped this world-class ski destination.

Mountain Palace of Contemporary Allure

A five-star hotel at the apex of glamour since its inception, L’Apogée Courchevel was awarded French Palace distinction in 2019 — an honour bestowed upon five-star hotels in France that distinguish themselves by their exceptional design, amenities, quality of service, gastronomy, and location.

Unique for the region, the Palace Hotel’s contemporary décor is the fruit of a shared vision between renowned interior architects Joseph Dirand and India Mahdavi to bring “urban refinement to the mountains”. Combining Dirand’s plush minimalism for the common areas with Mahdavi’s cosy colours and textures throughout the guest rooms, suites, and chalets, the hotel’s design harmonizes warmth and elegant restraint to create an array of distinctive ambiances infused with heart and overflowing with inspiration.

Executive Chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois’ and Pastry Chef Tanya Colella’s delicate menus offer yet another delightful immersion for the senses. This 2023-2024 season, the chefs’ creations will be featured, as always, at the hotel’s French restaurant, Le Comptoir de L’Apogée, in addition to a new Italian pop-up restaurant created in collaboration with Gennaro Esposito, Michelin-starred Consultant Chef, and Executive Chef at Oetker Collection’s La Palma Capri. Fittingly named Gennaro’s, this ephemeral restaurant will feature Italian classics with a Neapolitan twist married with the finest Italian ingredients.

A Poetic Anniversary Experience

To offer yet another way to celebrate the 10-year milestone with finesse, L’Apogée Courchevel has imagined a new experience that brings together nature’s breathtaking beauty and the hotel’s unmatched savoir-faire. The Sunset in Style Experience invites guests on a 20-minute snowcat ride to the summit of one of the area’s most picturesque snowy peaks, where they can savour the enchanting sunset accompanied by an unforgettable apéritif of tantalizing petit-fours and cocktails prepared by Chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois. A truly special moment and a tribute to Courchevel’s origins as a destination that embraces innovation whilst preserving the awe-inspiring magic of its natural history.
