Fully vaccinated travellers can now visit Cambodia without quarantine, following a rapid test upon arrival, bringing the world even closer to the Kingdom's authentic hospitality, renowned heritage sites and energetic destinations.

To welcome travellers back, Accor has launched its 'For the Love of Captivating Cambodia' campaign with guests rewarded with special credits that can be redeemed for meals, beverages and spa treatments. Most visitors to Cambodia come in search of the Angkor temple complex in Siem Reap. This world-heritage site was constructed in the early 12th century and is the largest religious structure in the world, covering 162 hectares (more than three times the size of the Vatican City). The town of Siem Reap has since become a burgeoning destination for visitors exploring the province's 1,000+ temples. A vibrant arts scene can be found here, with artists such as Nou Sary, Christian Develter and Lim Muy Theam opening their studios and homes to travellers seeking out the rich creative scene. Expressiveness is not only found amongst the city's art studios, but also amongst the vibrant culinary scene which sees many young talents putting Cambodia on the map for world-class dining. One of the most renowned restaurants is Embassy, headed by twin sisters Kimsan Pol and Kimsan Sok. Kimsan Pol trained at Ecole d'Hotellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, a hospitality college set-up in Siem Reap by Accor's co-founder, who has joined forces with her sister to present modern Khmer cuisine on an ever-evolving multiple-course set menu.

Perfectly situated in convenient proximity to the temples of Angkor and vibrant town centre is Raffles Hotel d'Angkor Siem Reap. First opened in 1932, the hotel has been welcoming discerning travellers to the historic heart of Cambodia for over eighty years. The hotel recently underwent a delicate restoration, with all 119 rooms and suites enjoying a beautiful transformation with lighter and brighter interiors to complement the heritage elements such as the traditional ceiling fans and brass rotary telephones. A few minutes stroll away is the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. This lush resort celebrates French colonial elegance with 238 rooms and suites situated around manicured gardens and an inviting swimming pool. The resort also boasts its own golf course just outside of the city, with the 18-hole course recognised as one of the best in Cambodia.

Cambodia's capital city of Phnom Penh is an excellent gateway to the Kingdom of Wonders. A thriving arts and culinary scene is now offering everything from film festivals to art exhibitions, concerts and memorable dining. On the south-side of the city, Phsar Toul Tom Poung (Russian Market) is an area bursting with energy. The market itself offers very affordable shopping, while the streets surrounding it are lined with hidden rooftop cocktail bars and an excellent collection of restaurants and cafes, opened by locals and expatriates alike. For those interested in local art, Street 178 provides an accessible array of boutiques with quality handicrafts and silk. Exhibition centres such as the French Institute and Meta House regularly exhibit Cambodian artists, extending an excellent insight into the arts scene. High up on every visitor's list should be the Royal Palace, which was constructed in the mid-19th century and is the official residence of Cambodia's King. The National Museum is just a short walk away, housing 14,000 items from prehistoric times to periods before, during and after the Khmer Empire.

All of these sites are within close distance to Raffles Hotel Le Royal Phnom Penh, a historical landmark that has stood for more than 90 years. Designed by architect Ernest H├ębrard in French colonial style, Le Royal originally launched in November 1929 luring international tourists seeking adventures in Indochina. Each of the 175 rooms and suites at Raffles Hotel Le Royal underwent a full refurbishment as part of a recent meticulous restoration project which has breathed new life into the Grand Dame, and seen the introduction of an all-day dining venue, Le Phnom 1929, a Parisian-style brasserie. On the southern side of the city lays the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, in close vicinity of a large scale shopping mall, major tourist attractions and the charming riverfront. The hotel offers the ultimate culinary journey with restaurants specialising in Japanese, Chinese and Italian cuisine, as well as western and local offerings in an expansive all-day-dining restaurant. The largest sports club in the capital is also nestled on the grounds of the hotel for travellers seeking wellness and fitness offerings on the road.

To celebrate of the return to travel, the reopening of Cambodia, and the joy of great hotel stays, Accor has also launched a short-film entitled 'Unveil Cambodia', to inspire travellers to rediscover the country. The video is part of Accor's global campaign which encourages people to experience the beauty, depth and meaning that travel brings to their lives.
