W SINGAPORE SENTOSA COVE

W HOTEL SINGAPORE SENTOSA COVE

W SINGAPORE SENTOSA COVE - The best thing when you travel is to visit a place you have never been before, even if it’s Singapore, a small country, or even a city (by the size of course) bordering on the Northwest coast of Indonesia. Since I came from Batam after Fabulous 2-Night stay at Montigo Resort Nongsa, the sea straits ride is only 40 minutes by ferry from Nongsapura at Batam Island to Tanah Merah Terminal near Changi Airport in Singapore, but we don’t go in that direction, we were heading to Sentosa Island.

I remember that we (me & my friend) had argued about using MRT from Terminal to Sentosa, but we ended up just arguing in the cab line lol. I mean, I was quite tired of thinking about moving from one place to another place with two weekender's bags and a big suitcase and then strolling around with so many people, I found that it was going to be a disaster, more for the others than ours. So I think I have spent more than $100 SGD only for a cab ride and $50 SGD for mass transport. But I think it was worth it (not really lol, it was because of  my trunks) since I stay in 3 different places to really enjoy the neighborhoods of Singapore; Orchard, Sentosa Island & Marina Bay (so next time, it would be better if I stay in Chinatown even the Northern part of Singapore, we’ll see)

So I spent my sleep time staying at W Singapore, Sentosa Cove, why? Because it’s simply I am W-junkies too (I have been to W Bali Seminyak, now W Singapore, and soon the other W around the other side of the world ya hopefully), besides that, you will experience the other art of spending time in Singapore by a stay at W Singapore, because it’s located next to classy seaport with a hundred luxury yacht pull in, so it’s quite a nice ambiance to take an afternoon walk or a morning jog (also such good energy to see some family spending their time here) while for me, waiting for a local bus to take me around the island for FREE and most likely I will come back here yes.

So I stayed at Fabulous Room with their inspired fab décor influenced by contemporary art, music, and design, it’s slightly different from W Bali, but trust me it’s wise not to compare each other because every W has its own color, and in W Singapore so many art pieces as you can see in the lobby, the hall the garden, everywhere and super large swimming pool that really surprised me because it’s open for 24 hours with live music that you can hear underwater every time you take a dip, so much FUN.

They had me when my mind brought me back to 2013 after I see 3-little cupcakes that told me to follow them on Instagram – Instagram – Instagram, now you better follow my Instagram too. They had me again, with the sweet welcome treats, a box of chocolate HAPPY, thanks to the most 2 gorgeous girls from W Singapore (W Insider) Cara & Aurore, they spared their time to greet me even though they were busy too with arranging a weekend party at W Singapore, once again thank you so much, girls.

So actually I took a chance to ride a bus around the island that night because it was impossible to do it the next morning because the island held a running event, so no Bus until 10 (see the pictures here). After all the sightseeing and back, the night was still young, I go swim almost alone, but there was a couple from Europe and 2 Thailand girls that woke my mind up that I wasn’t alone with their conversation and laugh lol. I love night swimming, I almost do the night swim (or dip) if I stay at a resort with a private pool, trust me it’s nice to go along with deep although the conversation is not really significant, I always feel it’s the right time to contemplate, deep thinking with a smart conversation with friends… after that, the sleep beyond GOOD.

Traveling also is about WELLNESS, you need to go somewhere at least once every year (or 4 times a year yeah) to break the daily routines, or do your routines in different places, for me it’s including work, writing, contemplating, etc. Likewise with a morning jog, but unfortunately, it was raining at that time, quite intense so I decided to feel the rain with a bit of work (by work I mean took pics,  bye) and sip a cup of hot morning coffee (it’s nice and I thanked God), and the rain stopped falling about an hour after, around 9 AM and went down to the restaurant for breakfast. It was quite packed full of people because the other part of the restaurant was wet all over the place, so we do decide to stay eat inside, and the best part of the breakfast is the SALAD bar, one that I only can see on a jar, I almost was not sure if the salad were only for display only until someone takes all the jars full of fresh lettuce & other greens for him and his friends, I regretted it lol

It was like one hour before check out, also the rain was out, and the sunlight appeared; making it one of the best mornings sightseeing at the port with all the birds singing, I was thinking “How they’re doing now? I mean people who attend the running event – absolutely WET”
