IJEN, THE FIRST ZERO WASTE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN BALI - While you probably will busy to amazed with every detail at Katamama Hotel Seminyak, but when it's time to food hunting around Seminyak, it won't be hard, it's only walking distance toward the infamous Potato Head Beach Club, there's a new restaurant that you can't be missed, Ijen Restaurant Bali.

You can read about their concept and philosophy of ecoBali on this link, click it Introducing Ijen Restaurant Bali. But how about the taste?

It tastes very good, a bit pricey because you support their concept of zero waste and of course quality, but they taste so good. So what I ordered were so many, from Baby Squids, Whole Grilled Fish, King Prawn, and Barbequed Corn, and it's suitable with fresh real coconut.

The interior is semi-outdoor, you still can smell party and feel the sunset vibes, which is people coming to the beach club mostly for that, so a reservation is a must. The open kitchen and probably you can choose your own fresh fish, and make it your own memorable dinner at Ijen Restaurant Bali.

"It’s off the plate where things aren’t so effortless. Ijen is the upshot of our goal to become a fully circular brand, and as the first restaurant in Indonesia to follow a zero-waste philosophy, we hold it to the highest of sustainability standards. In addition to materials and cooking techniques which reduce the environmental footprint, all organic and inorganic waste is meticulously separated; food remnants are fed to pigs at local farms or taken to our own nearby composting site, shellfish shucks are powdered and used for added calcium in animal feed or fertilizer, and all dry goods are entirely recycled by the island’s responsible waste management service, ecoBali."
